The Townsville City Council (TCC) are one of Anamise’s most valued customers with whom we have collaborated on two different occasions to deliver two very diverse projects. One of these projects involves a solar optimisation tool “Auxin S4”. This project was such a success that TCC asked us to build upon this software and create a tool to analyse the impact of reflective roofs.

1.1      AUXIN S4- Townsville City Council – Solar Optimisation

The first of these projects was named the Auxin S4!

Auxin S4 was initiated as a result of TCC’s interest in procuring a functional solar optimisation and decision-making tool, for their solar investments. Precisely, TCC were searching high and low for a tool that could be applied to Council buildings and facilities to determine optimally sized solar installations based on the following parameters: site load, solar generation and Net Present Value of the solar investment.

This search led them to the leading solar optimisation in the market, Anamise’s proprietary software- Auxin S4! (please refer to Figure 1: Auxin S4 Collage).

Anamise takes pride in Auxin S4’s potential and capabilities to stand as the leading solar optimisation in the market, and welcome the any opportunity to prove its worth. Hence, the first phase of this project involved delivering thirteen ‘Townsville City Council – Renewable Energy Strategy’ reports (please refer to Figure 2: Anamise Consultation Report) to demonstrate the value and potential of Auxin S4.

All thirteen of these reports were constructed using Auxin S4, based on the data provided by TCC. Each of these reports presented research and analysis about various important characteristics of each site. This included, but was not limited to:

  • Introduction and Site Identification
  • Solar generation and electricity consumption analysis
  1. Comparative analysis of average weekly load and average weekly generation
  2. Monthly average solar generation
  • Percentage of electricity supplied by solar
  1. Percentage of Solar Consumed by Load
  2. Comparative analysis of average daily load and average daily generation, for all twelve months of the year.
    • Site specific solar system parameters analysis and optimisation
  3. Solar array orientation analysis and optimisation
  4. Solar array tilt analysis and optimisation
  • Solar array size analysis and optimisation
    • Site electricity expenditure and solar investment financial analysis (for a minimum time frame of 20 years)
  1. Business as usual (periodic and total) electricity expenses
  2. Electricity expenses after solar investment
  • Savings attained on electricity expenditure, from solar investment
  1. Loan repayment expenses, if solar investment is financed through a loan
  2. Net financial benefits attained from solar investments
  3. ‘Net Present Value (NPV)’ analysis for a range of periods (to suit each customer’s needs and specific solar system lifetimes)

All these analyses were presented using simple, yet powerful, visual data-communication tools/ models (please refer to Figure 3: Anamise Analysis Collage). These easy to comprehend tools empowered the council to effectively and efficiently make reliable decisions on all their solar investments.

Impressed by the work presented by Anamise, and the capacity of Auxin S4 to not only satisfy all their needs but also to surpass their expectations, the TCC chose Auxin S4 as their solar optimisation tool of choice, among all other competitor’s products.

Anamise values all its customers very dearly and always seeks go one step further than its competitors, in assuring utmost client satisfaction. Hence, in addition to the sale of their proprietary software, Anamise also provided training services for TCC on using this software. This involved experts from Anamise, the pioneers responsible for Auxin S4 themselves, conducting Face-to-face classes to train TCC’s staff with all things they need to know about Auxin S4 to become experts themselves.

It was an absolute pleasure working for an esteemed organisation such as the TCC. We appreciate the trust they place on Anamise and its customers like these that make what we do here at Anamise worthwhile and truly rewarding.

1.2      Testimonials from the TCC
